The Design Problem

It was important that the design language of the Phase II buildings coordinate with the existing Staples Center and newly completed Nokia Theater.  But, the architectural forms were quite different, not being arenas like the existing buildings.  Creative thinking and extensive coordination between trades was required to create lighting positions where we needed them.   Above, early concept rendering.
